Dan Sheldon, a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Springfield College with a degree in Sports Management, minoring in Business, started his sports and entertainment agency (SSA) in 2010, and since then has built it into one of the top boutique agencies in the Northeast. During his tenure at Springfield, Dan played Varsity soccer, was VP of social affairs of the Sports Management Club, and interned at Octagon, the number one global sports, entertainment, lifestyle marketing and talent representation agency in the world.

Through this internship, Dan was able to establish numerous professional and personal relationships within the sports and entertainment world.  Those relationships include, but are not limited to FIFA, Warner Brothers, Viacom, SONY, Paramount, NBC, as well as many accomplished screenwriters, producers, actors and directors, which allow him not only to properly represent his clients, but to give them the best chance to bring their work, athletic careers and products to the marketplace.
 
Being a certified Athletic Agent, granted by the state of Rhode Island under the Uniform Athlete Agents Act, and in the process of obtaining his license to be a registered players' agent by FIFA , also allows Dan the abilities to expand his reach for his soccer clients internationally.  Together with his abilities to package an international soccer star’s talents with brand positioning, Dan has set himself up to represent some of the biggest up-and-coming athletes of tomorrow.
 
With a qualified team of lawyers, board members and mentors, whose experience in the sports and entertainment worlds total over 50 years, SSA handles all of their own negotiations and contracts, which instills confidence and maintains very personal relationships with their clients.  In a short time, they have created a full service platform including marketing and social media, so that everything including building their clients’ images, generating sponsorship opportunities and connecting the clients’ brand to their consumers can be dealt with directly from within.  
 
SSA also prides itself on being heavily involved in the community. Dan has created a very unique and philanthropic component to his agency that differentiates them from almost all the others.  Sheldon Sports Agency requires that all employees and clients give back 1% of their annual earnings/salaries to Non-Profit companies around the world each year.  Dan’s goal is to make a difference, and by having his staff and clients donate to Non-Profits that they are passionate about, he sees this as a great first step towards achieving that objective.
